Robert J Habeeb

Founder & CEO

Bob is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of high profile, multiunit experience in hotel, resort and food and beverage management.

Prior to establishing  Maverick, Bob spent the last 21 years with First Hospitality Group, growing the company footprint from 13 hotels to 55 hotels in its peak, operating across 8 brands, 24 chains in 10 states. Prior to joining  FHG in 1997 he was the COO of the U. S. resort subsidiary of London’s Rank Group, PLC (owners of the Hard Rock Café’s) where he was responsible for a multifaceted portfolio of hotel, restaurant and leisure businesses.

Over his career, he has successfully operated hospitality businesses in virtually every aspect of the industry including luxury, select service, resort hotels, restaurants and golf and ski operations in every setting imaginable.

Robin Kirk

President & COO

Overseeing operational excellence for Maverick hotels and resorts. He has leadership experience with portfolios of both branded and independent hotels across North America. His background includes work at both the corporate and divisional levels of several renowned hospitality companies, where he was instrumental in driving performance through system and process implementation. Most recently, Robin led Scout hotels as Principal and CEO, and was formerly a Divisional Vice President for Sage Hospitality Resources. Prior to that, he was President of CSM Lodging where he oversaw the growth of a company that owned 37 hotels with six brands. Robin’s additional experience includes Executive Vice President at MeriStar Hotels and Resorts, where Robin was responsible for a large portfolio of resort and urban hotels. In addition to Robin’s experience at a corporate level, he also served as General Manager of several significant hotels and resorts, including The Hotel Hershey and The Philadelphia Hilton and Towers. Robin graduated from the University of York in England with a BA with Honors in Economics and Politics.

Tom Grassle

Chief Investment Officer

Tom is responsible for underwriting through the analysis, and acquisition of new project opportunities. Tom is a seasoned hospitality executive who spent five years working as an investment advisor in the New York office of a global real estate brokerage firm with assignments throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and South America. Tom spent seven years in the New York headquarters of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and also worked as a valuation and feasibility consultant in the New York office of HVS International. He began his career in hotel operations holding various management positions at the Sheraton Boston Hotel & Towers. Tom graduated with a BS in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate from Cornell School of Hotel Administration.

Lynn Mucciano

Vice President of Strategy, Sales & Marketing/Business Development

An entrepreneurial executive with more than 20 years’ experience managing sales, marketing, operations, and personnel at the property, regional, and corporate level for independent/boutique, luxury destination resorts, and franchise hotels for hospitality management and mixed-use development companies. Lynn is a skilled expert in formulating winning business plans that identify opportunities for accelerated growth, and an established record for building and retaining highly motivated sales teams. She has worked with hotel groups such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood, IHG, Wyndham, and in the development and operation of independent one of a kind brands across North America and the Caribbean.

In this role Lynn creates, cultivates, and integrate relationships to further profitability, positive experiences, and growth for our owners, clients and the Maverick culture.

Vince Barba

Vice President of Finance

Vince was most recently the Director of Finance/Asset Manager for Northern Hospitality, a management company based out of Portland, ME that manages three hotels, special events center, as well as a mixed use retail facility.  Prior, he was the Senior Financial Manager for The Buckminster Group, a privately-owned company with two full service hotels and six commercial building properties in the Boston market.  Vince was promoted to a dual role as Director of Finance/Asset Manager which included full financial and operational responsibilities for eleven different companies and involved continual interaction between property management teams and ownership.

Prior to joining the Buckminster Group Vince worked for sixteen years as Corporate Controller for Turf Hotels in Albany, NY.  Turf Hotels is a hotel management company with five upscale Hilton/IHG franchised properties. He was responsible for all financial, HR and IT areas of the company and oversaw three new build hotel projects, as well as the sale of two properties.  Vince set up all systems and procedures in their new corporate office and was responsible for multiple software and system installs/configurations/upgrades/conversions.

Vince began his career as a corporate trainee with Hyatt Hotels in Houston Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire earning a BS degree in Hotel Administration

Dorothy Bukowinski

Financial Services

Dorothy ‘s hospitality experience is in both accounting and hotel development analysis. She began her career while attending Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Her breadth of hospitality experience includes marketing, financial analysis, and accounting management enabling her to have a fresh and holistic perspective.

Dorothy knows what it takes to produce an operating statement efficiently, reducing unnecessary expenditures while helping to maximize hotel productivity. As an energetic and dedicated leader, Dorothy helps the Maverick team support our clients with her proven track record.

Mimi Dufault

People Services and Corporate Standards

Mimi brings over 20 years of hospitality experience in all facets of hotel operations and with multiple brands to her role. Starting with Best Western in 1996, as a Front Desk Agent at the Jersey shore, Mimi’s career progression includes various positions in all disciplines including Rooms Division, Food and Beverage, Sales, Accounting, HR, and Loss Prevention. She has more than 5 years’ experience as a General Manager and over 15 years’ experience administering HR related duties.

Mimi earned an Associated Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Resort Management at Colorado State University. She holds a certificate for Interviewing and Interrogation from John E. Reid & Associates, Inc.

Rebecca Bartlett

Marketing and Ecommerce Engagement

Rebecca facilitates marketing efforts across all properties. Rebecca brings expertise in both the latest digital and social media marketing tools and hands-on experience across multiple roles in the hospitality industry. Starting as an intern, she worked up the ladder to earn various managerial roles from Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager, to Spa Manager. Rebecca began her hospitality career at California’s Ojai Valley Inn and Spa; a 5 Diamond resort after earning a degree in Tourism Planning and Development from the University of New Hampshire.

Tom Pucci

IT Services

Tom Pucci is responsible for IT services across all properties. Tom brings thirty-one years of experience as an IT Operations Manager for the Town of Falmouth.

During Tom’s long career with the Town of Falmouth he was responsible for IT innovation from Main Frames to Virtual servers and the Town wide network. Tom was the lead for all large Town IT infrastructure installations, managing vendors and budgets. Tom’s favorite accomplishments include the Falmouth Public Library and the Public Safety Dispatch Center.

Robert Amick

Managing Partner, Food and Beverage, Renegade Restaurants

After four decades in the restaurant business, Bob is no stranger to the dining scene both in Atlanta and nationally. His experience covers the gamut of the industry and he has certainly created a following in the process.

In 1974, Amick launched his career with Peasant Restaurants where he was instrumental in creating Mick’s Restaurants and City Grill, among others. After expanding Peasant Restaurants to more than 42 locations nationally, Amick and his partners sold to Quantum in 1989. Amick stayed on as CEO, taking the company public under Morton’s Restaurant Group. In 1998, following his time at Peasant Restaurants, Amick opened the highly acclaimed Killer Creek. Amick sold Killer Creek in 2001 and started the development of a series of high profile, chef-driven dining experiences in the prospering area of Midtown Atlanta; thus emerged Concentrics Restaurants.

Concentrics, and Amick, have been recognized in nationally-acclaimed publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Food Arts, O: The Oprah Magazine, Delta Sky, GO!, Lucky and InStyle magazine. Additionally, Concentrics boasted the first Atlanta chef to appear on the Food Network’s culinary showdown, “Iron Chef America” and a feature on “Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels.” Amick is a recent recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement Award” courtesy of the Georgia Restaurant Association and his concepts have been nominated for several James Beard Awards including “Outstanding Restaurateur” and “Best Restaurant”.

David Marsh

Chief Operating Officer- Renegade Restaurants

Prior to joining Maverick Hotels and Restaurants, David was SVP of the Restaurant Group with Sage Restaurant Group having been promoted into multiple roles within the organization. Marsh brings more than 20 years of restaurant industry experience to his newly appointed Maverick role. As a General Manager, Marsh earned a reputation for excellence while overseeing the successful operations of both unique concepts, receiving recognition as an SRG “Leader of the Year” in 2011.

As Chief Operating Officer of restaurant operations, Marsh will direct the food and beverage operations for  distinct restaurant properties and will lead property teams in the development and execution of revenue-generating food and beverage programs while consistently exceeding expectations of discerning clientele. In addition to business and guest-base growth, Marsh will be responsible for overseeing in-room dining and catering operations for all restaurants, as well as talent management, team building, and personnel development.

A graduate of Brigham Young University, Marsh held numerous other hospitality leadership roles before joining Maverick Hotels and Restaurants, including management positions at South Lake Tahoe’s iconic Riva Grill and various properties within the Morton’s Restaurant Group umbrella.
